Conservation | Letterfrack mainly focuses on complex small scale projects from their custom designed workshop in Connemara and can be regularly found nationwide on-site in museums, historic buildings and with private clients. Associated services are offered in museum display mounting, condition surveys and complex object handling.

Our main objective at Conservation | Letterfrack is to provide a professional service in the field of conservation and restoration of furniture wooden artifacts and architectural woodwork to the highest international standards throughout Ireland. We are particularly proud to have worked successfully on time-sensitive and complex projects, which have given our team the opportunity to use our wide range of traditional skills and modern techniques.

Conservation | Letterfrack adheres to strict codes of practice set down by internationally-recognised, professional conservation/restoration organisations.

We are based in the village of Letterfrack in the heart of Connemara, Co. Galway, in a spacious purposely-built workshop dedicated to conservation and restoration of furniture, wooden artifacts and architectural woodwork. The award-winning building, designed by the architects O’Donnell and Tuomey has modern storage and handling equipment, a high security CCTV system and a humidity-controlled environment providing a safe environment for every object we bring to the workshop for treatment.

Conservation | Letterfrack is managed by Sven Habermann who is an accredited wooden object conservator and co-founder of  Conservation | Letterfrack.  As Manager, he develops and leads conservation and restoration projects that cover a wide range of projects and objects.
